Stop Using Roundup!

Note From My Bees: “Stop Using Roundup!” A recent Popular Science article cites a new study, in which scientists have found that glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup weed killer, negatively affects the bacteria found in the honeybee gut, which in turn, weakens bee colonies and plays a role (but certainly not the role) in honey colony decline. There are a lot of contributing factors in honeybee colony declines, chief among them being the way we do agriculture here in the US, but every little bit is contributing to a world that will eventually have a critically low honeybee population. So, my bees would like to respectfully request that you stop using Roundup. Leave the dandelions alone. My bees love them.
